The crew on Normand Jarl will for this achievement receive 5000nkr for common amusement on board, maybe a start to get a new treadmill or perhaps to complement the band (read guitar) on board a drum set, I don't know, but the check is in the mail. Normand Jarl is operating in northern Norway for the Norwegian Coastal Administration as a standby vessel, they are tough opponents, but Clough and Pacific has shown it is possible.
The SGO campaign rolls on, there is no doubt about that and as you probably know we will soon incorporate 10 more vessels, which will mean more competitors, but also a chance to do more for the environment!
I have been in contact with the top 3 SGO vessels regarding T-shirts, again there will just be an opening to replace worn-out shirts, this time on Pacific, but also any new crew members on all 3 vessels will receive shirts, I will need number and sizes please.
Fuel consumption for 4Q came in just under Q3 figures (15,417 m3), we used 14,720 m3 per month during the last 3 months in 2011, 44,650 m3 for the fourth quarter in total. 4,013 Green Operations has been registered this quarter. The reported estimated fuel saving was 10,509 m3 which gives a fuel saving estimate of 19% of the total fleet consumption.
The Q1 2012 campaign has already started so there is another opportunity for those of you who want to show that you operate a ship in a cost effective way and the same time reducing emissions. Maybe this will lead to a little extra money for the welfare onboard and we might even have a surprise vessel climbing the SGO ladder this time, you never know.
Happy SGO hunting!
